GAGPS – Attitude Determination System based on non-dedicated GPS receivers and aided by low-cost MEMS Inertial Sensors
The main aim of thi project is the development of a high-accuracy low-cost navigation system prototype. The system consists of 4 low-cost GPS receivers and MEMS inertial sensors for the rotation rate measurement in 3 axes. The developed system has the following performance characteristics:
3D Attitude determination (Roll, Pitch and Yaw) with a data output rate of 100 Hz.
Position determination (Longitude, Latitude and Height) with a data output rate of 1 Hz.
Attitude determination with an accuracy of 0.5º rms under favorable conditions.
