SINTONIA – Unmanned Systems with Zero Environmental Impact

SINTONIA is a CENIT project whose main aim is scientific research to acquire new knowledge and develop key enabling technologies to reduce the environmental impact and to increase the efficiency of Unmanned Aircraft by the introduction of improvements throughout their life cycle. This project is headed by Boeing R&TE and 23 companies and 25 Research Bodies in the field of Aerospace Technology are taking part.

The CTC contribution is focused on the development of a High Concentration Photovoltaic system to provide electrical power to the UAV ground station by exploring the benefits of using GNSS technology in this kind of system.
