GAGPS

GAGPS – Attitude Determination System based on non-dedicated GPS receivers and aided by low-cost MEMS Inertial Sensors

The main aim of thi project is the development of a high-accuracy low-cost navigation system prototype. The system consists of 4 low-cost GPS receivers and MEMS inertial sensors for the rotation rate measurement in 3 axes. The developed system has the following performance characteristics:

  • 3D Attitude determination with a data output rate of 100 Hz.

  • Position determination with a data output rate of 1 Hz.

  • Attitude determination with an accuracy of 0.5º rms under favorable conditions.
