Solution for Precise Positioning Applications on mobile terminals based on multiGNSS technology

In recent years, GNSS receivers, initially reserved for professional applications in key areas such as topography, geodesy or navigation, have evolved rapidly thanks to technological advances, which have enabled their miniaturisation and high computing capacity. Such has been the evolution of these devices that today they are integrated in all mobile phones or smartphones on the market. Thanks to the consolidation of the new GNSS constellations, especially GALILEO, smartphone manufacturers have begun to launch devices that make use of multiple frequency and constellations, thus opening the door to the availability of a quality positioning solution for all types of users, with a very low investment.

With the development of the APPUNTA project, it is expected to generate an enabling technology that allows the development of new applications and value-added services for mobile phones in various application sectors based on a high-precision positioning solution.
