Monitoring structural health
Description: Creation of tools for detecting damage and for quantifying the damage accumulated.
Application: Surveillance of machine components and containers subjected to dynamic loads and harsh environments when faults generate considerable production costs and the prediction of preventive maintenance operations.
Sector: Energy and industrial
Decision-making tools
Description: Creation of decision-making algorithms depending on the damage detected and accumulated.
Application: Procedures of action on components and machinery subjected to loads and harsh environments
Sector: Energy and industrial
Control systems
Description: At the CTC we specialise in the development of real-time control systems for applications with demanding time restrictions. The CTC has experience of the various stages: the designing of the hardware architecture (a selection of sensorics and electromechanical drive), integration, the development of control algorithms (e.g. Neuronal Networks, Adaptative Control, or Fuzzy Logic), and the implementation of software.
Applications: Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, Process Control
Sector: Aeronautics, Car industry
Sensorisation
Descripción: At the CTC we specialise in Sensorisation for Navigation systems (inertial sensors, odometry, laser, sonar, GNSS) and in the application of techniques of processing and the merging of data from multiple heterogenous sources.
Applications: Fault diagnosis, Optimisation of processes, Regulation, Instrumentation, Self-Driving Cars, Industrial Monitoring
Sector: Industry 4.0, Aeronautics, Car industry, Engineering, Transport
Predictive Maintenance
Description: We design fault prevention systems and systems to predict the service life of components subject to fatigue by monitoring wear and tear and identifying fracture, ageing, and corrosion mechanisms.
Application: Extending of components and machinery
Sector: Energy and industrial
Navigation and guiding
Description: Navigation systems allow the guiding of a person, a vehicle, or a robot within an environment, generally with obstacles. Guiding, Navigation, and Control (GNS) systems involve various technologies such as designing and planning missions, planning routes, and tracing, mapping, detecting, and avoiding obstacles.
Applications: Self-driving vehicles, Locating people, Traceability
Sector: Industry 4.0, Aerospace, Military Defence
