The capturing of talent is one of the central strategic points of the Components Technology Centre. Attracting human capital, which allows the Centre to ensure the continuity of its research team and gradually increase its capacities, is essential for guaranteeing the continuity of the institution. With this premise the Components Technological Centre, the only one of its kind in Cantabria, is presented as an ideal place for developing a full professional career and also for completing the training of the researchers of the future.
Indeed, ever since its foundation in 2001 the CTC has been developing a policy of academic training that gives young researchers the possibility of coming into contact with an R+D+I project. The programme allows the students to get to know an actual research experience as a previous stage to finding employment.
The training activities closely mirror those of future employment. Each student is associated with an actual R+D+I project with perfectly defined planning, deliverables, and milestones that must be complied with satisfactorily. Thanks to this methodology of learning by doing the training activities are of great interest to both parties: the students have the chance to show what they can do as far as their hiring as professionals is concerned and the CTC can observe and get to know the young researchers intimately during the carrying out of their work.
